Operating instructions below are merely guidelines. Make logbook work for you. You're the Captain of the ship. Like real Captains does, fill in actuals of your daily adventures. This is not just a planning tool, it is for keeping record of what's happened and data about yourself.
Logbook is not a planner where design changes are not possible because it was printed in one template for many people. Customize excel template to fit your habits and current routine. Share with me your template to be featured in the exhibition.
See below how I roll. This is a photo of a new design testing with upgraded bottom part.
What do you think about getting out of sync with the world? Switching to 101-day-round goal setting let me optimize life-work rhythm.
Common planning horizon is a year. Most people full of hope in the beginning of the year. They rushing, hustling and stressing out in the end of the year. Throughout the year they struggle to focus, with procrastination. Don't you think this is inefficient? After reading this book I tried short-term planning method and found my own daily, weekly and yearly rhythm.
Why not get even more unconventional? Unique names for the days of the week.
Over the course of a year after trip to Prague with Bobo I created meaningful names for each day.* Inspired by Baudelaire and Bobo's past, Monday became Flaneuring in our life since September '15. I tweeted here about the names for the other days. (note for Niki: create a twitter moment!)
I currently running VI 101-day-round. My rounds begin on: 6 February, 6 June, 6 October. It's been a year I guess since I build a habit of raising arms and cheerfully pronouncing Just today, right after I raised arms and cheerfully pronounced [FLANEURING-77], I realized that I wouldn't feel the same energy and power if I said [MONDAY AUGUST 21st].
began on Monday, August 21/17. To be continued.
